Hello! I’m Nicole, originally from the USA and now living in beautiful Spain. I hold a Master’s degree in Speech Therapy, which equips me with a deep understanding of effective communication techniques. With my background and passion for teaching, I’m excited to help you improve your English skills in a supportive and engaging way.
When I’m not teaching, you can find me exploring new places, hiking through nature, running, swimming, or spending quality time with my friends and family. I believe in making learning English a rewarding and enjoyable experience, and I’m here to support you every step of the way. Let’s embark on this language journey together!
Professional Background
I am dedicated English teacher with a strong background in Speech Therapy and Spanish. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Speech Therapy and Spanish and a Master’s degree in Speech Therapy. My specialized knowledge in speech therapy gives me a unique insight into the mechanics of language, which I bring into my teaching of English as a second language.
Since January 2020, I have been passionate about helping students of all levels master English. My teaching journey began with two online platforms, Italki and Preply, and I have since expanded my experience to include both in-person and online classes. Living abroad in Chile and now in Spain has enriched my understanding of language learning from diverse cultural perspectives, which I incorporate into my teaching.
My expertise covers a wide range of areas, including grammar, pronunciation, and conversation classes, tailored to both adults and children. I believe in creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel empowered to achieve their language goals. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to refine your skills, I’m here to guide you every step of the way.
Teaching Style
In my English classes, I cater every lesson to your specific goals and needs. Whether you're a beginner aiming to build a strong foundation, an advanced learner refining your pronunciation, or a parent looking for engaging classes for your child, I will work with you to create a personalized learning plan that fits your unique objectives.
I offer four types of classes: Grammar, Pronunciation, Conversation, and Classes for Children. No matter the focus, my teaching philosophy revolves around 'functional communication'—meaning I prioritize teaching you the English that you will actually use in your daily life. This approach ensures that what you learn in class can be immediately applied outside of it.
The most important aspect of my classes is making sure you feel comfortable and confident speaking English. Each session is designed to be a supportive space where you can practice and improve without pressure. We’ll also include an application activity in every class, where you'll actively use the topic or material we've covered, reinforcing your learning in a practical, hands-on way.
